Think of Scandinavia. What comes to mind? Long legged, blue eyed blondes? Think again. Scandinavia has much more to offer adult webmasters. Like big tits…With big rolls of cash between them.
Enter the land of Scandinavia. Actually three countries: Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Buy any Dane, Swede or Norwegian a beer and he can talk for hours about the differences between the three countries. Get him on the subject of sex and the Internet, and you will quickly discover that they share a great deal. What is the most important similarity? You can make tons of cash here.
The Worldwide Webmaster is known as an advocate for dialer and Voicecall billing. We recommend it because it works in nearly all of the 289 countries recognized by the UN. Denmark

Denmark is known for its liberal attitude toward sex, too. In the 1960s, Denmark was the first country in Europe to legalize sex magazines and sex toys. Also, for producers of sex films, Denmark is a Bonanza as just about everything is legal (except of course child and animal porn). That is faster broadband growth than anywhere else in Europe.
When the Danish go online, they go to buy. 29% of all Internet users bought online in the last month. 43% use a Visa card. As Worldwide Webmasters know, however, Visa is not everywhere you want to be. A full 43% of Danish online purchases are made with the national credit card, the oddly named "Dankort."
At press time, predictions are that SMS billing will be legalized for porn, as it is in the majority of EU countries. This is expected to take place in February, 2005. Once legal you will be able to sell photos and videos through the mobile phone. This content will be limited to softcore for the foreseeable future. It will also be possible to pay e-shopping via mobile phone. TDC - the largest mobile system operator in Denmark (think Verizon or Sprint in the US) - and other large operators are seeing a massive increase in this market. The figures tell the story:
Last half of 2003 = 2.262.000 MMS were sent in Denmark.
First half of 2004 = 4.367.000 MMS were sent in Denmark.

Sweden
Sweden has a bikini team. They are crazy hot and have sex all the time. However, for most Swedes existence is still quite cold and lonely. The 8.9 million inhabitants of Sweden endure nine months with hardly any sun. It's no wonder then that the glowing computer screens and super-fast broadband connections create tons of money for adult webmasters.
Sweden has five million Internet users, 35% of whom have broadband connections. They prefer to pay to access your content with credit cards and SMS. Introduced just a few years ago, SMS billing is now the most popular way to pay for sex online in Sweden. Evidence? Two of the top five websites in Sweden are SMSmovies.se and SMSsex.se.
For a more traditional traffic source, check out Free6.com. It is one the larger porn sites in Sweden and is well regarded by Swedish webmasters. Another profitable business on the Swedish Internet is sex toys and films. Let your average Swede, Mr. Jöhnson, avoid the real grimy sex shops and the risk of being spotted by the neighbours - by enabling him to shop online.
Sweden is full of contradictions. See if you can understand this one (the Worldwide Webmaster cannot): A couple of years ago the government passed a law against prostitution, with a twist. Normal laws forbid the girl to sell. Sweden says, "Sell away, girls!" However, if a man purchases her services he gets a fine and a jail sentence for six months. Fortunately, the Internet has remained free of weird moral laws.
Want to give these frozen foreigners what they are looking for? You have a solid chance at big profits. Today there are only a few large sites operating in a less competitive market than you are probably used to in the US. Again, a good place to find Swedish traffic is www.free6.com. This site offers access to sex movies with SMS payment. You can also buy traffic and put your ad on top links - most traffic created in Sweden is on sex sites through link-swapping.
Norway
Norway is North and (out of the) Way. Its 4.2 million inhabitants are among the wealthiest in Europe thanks to oil reserves the size of Saudi Arabia. Over half the population is online, with one in five using broadband connections.
SMS billing is a huge here. Credit card payment is growing.
A unique feature of the Norwegian market is the total lack of physical, brick and mortar sex shops. Products can only be bought online or by mail order.
