Tip #5: "Leave Your Submissions Alone!"
I have several friends - Greenguy included - that own the biggest link sites and TGP Galleries in the business. All of them, at least several times a year, go through all of the links they list.
They have told me that a full one-third to half of their links will get deleted because the webmaster that submitted them has changed their pages after getting listed.
I understand the urge once you are finally listed to change your pages to make them a little more sponsor-friendly. But... you need to understand that these link site and TGP Gallery owners have a certain duty to their loyal surfers.
Unfortunately, this practice [of changing the sites AFTER getting listed] is thought of as a form of trying to cheat the link site and TGP Gallery owners. There really isn't a faster way to get on the dreaded Blacklist. Once you're there - forget about getting off.
So - the tip of the week is once you get listed, leave your pages alone! This will make the site owners happy - and more importantly - the surfer will be happy to find what they are looking for.
